Welcome to the 2023 GCBA Program Year. We have a great schedule lined up and I hope you will join us.
Here are a few updates:
MEMBERSHIP DUES: With cost increases happening all around us, the GCBA Board of Directors is proud to announce that there will be no price increase for 2023 GCBA Memberships. Membership dues cover the entire GCBA Program Year (January – December) and the rates are as follows:
Attorney Membership: $85.00
Paralegal/Other Legal Professional: $50.00
Community Membership/Non-Legal: $25.00 (non-voting member)
LUNCH COST: 2023 GCBA Members will also enjoy the same cost as last year ($15.00) for lunch at our monthly meetings. However, the lunch cost for non-members will increase to $30.00 after our February 9th meeting. Dues are not pro-rated so join/renew today to take full advantage of your annual membership benefits.
GRAYSON COUNTY BAR MEMORIAL PLAQUE: The additional GCBA Memorial Plaque is now installed in the courthouse. This additional plaque provides GCBA the necessary capacity/wall space to publicly honor members of our legal community upon their passing. Thank you to everyone who helped make this happen.
FEBRUARY PROGRAM NOTES: We kick off our program year on February 9th with a special presentation by Brit Featherston, United States District Attorney for the Eastern District of Texas. USA Featherston, along with other federal and state law enforcement officials, will provide an up-close look at the harsh reality of the Opioid/Fentanyl Crisis in America and how it’s affecting us here right here in North Texas. Judge Emily Miskel extended a special invitation to GCBA Members to attend her Investiture on February 17th. Judge Miskel was recently appointed Justice of the Fifth District Court of Appeals. Please also visit the GCBA website for complete RSVP/Event details.
